Warren Peterson Disappears
Warren Peterson disappeared in June of 1942 flying a C47 over the Hump to China. Do to inclement weather other transports turned back, Warren's C47 continued on, never to be heard from again. He was listed as misssing in action (MIA) for 35 years until he and his aircraft were discovered in 1977 high in the Himalayan Mountains in India.
